Inexpensive DIY trophies for your Derby!
What you'll need:
• Wood
• Black and gold paint
• Toy cars
• Metal nuts
• Contact paper (or stencils)
• Hot glue gun
Cut the wood into little blocks with a slant on one side.
Glue the nuts on the slanted side, and paint the whole thing black.
Chalkboard paint or black matte spray paint works best.
Spray paint the cars gold and hot glue them onto the nuts.
Cut out numbers on contact paper, or use a stencil to paint them on.
Make a bunch at once and you'll have leftovers for next year's race!
